I just had the best weekend EVER and want to tell you all about it!
This past weekend I attended Governor’s Ball thanks to Honda Stage. This was my first music festival experience and I loved every minute of it!
To rewind a little- Honda had reached out to me and asked if I would like to attend Governor’s Ball with them in exchange for some social media content. I was STOKED! I obviously agreed, and Honda Stage sent me two 3-day VIP Plus wristbands.
Jake and I went all three days and had the most fun ever! 🙂
DAY 1: Friday
Friday was the first day of the festival, so Jake and I went after work. We got to see Brockhampton, Lil Wayne, Gesaffelstein, and Tyler the Creator. All of their performances were SO good! I also can’t stop listening to the song SUMMER by Brockhampton after this weekend.
Friday’s outfit details:
Sheer dress- Showpo // Black Bralette– Princess Polly Boutique // Bloomers– Princess Polly Boutique // Bag– Princess Polly Boutique // Shoes– Adidas
DAY 2: Saturday
Saturday was the longest day for sure! Jake and I met with Honda around noon and rode over to Randall’s Island with them. I was able to do a photoshoot with their amazing photography, Betsy. We shot in the Honda seatbelt forest which was SO cute & colorful!! I thought it was so fun that they had set up such a cool photo op.
Afterwards, Jake and I got to enjoy the day! Being a VIP Plus ticket holder is AWESOME because it includes unlimited drinks. So as you can imagine, we spent a good portion of the day in the VIP Plus area trying the different drinks while watching the performances.
Some of our favorite acts from Saturday were Tobi Lou, Vincint, Kacey Musgraves, The 1975, and Major Lazer.
Saturday’s outfit details:
Everything is from Princess Polly Boutique except the shoes! Dress // Bralette // Bloomers // Sunglasses // Bag // Shoes
DAY 3: Sunday
Sunday was definitely interesting, to say the least! Due to potential thunderstorms, the festival didn’t open until 6:30pm. So Jake and I got there around 7:30pm and we were able to see Lily Allen, Bazzi, and Louis the Child. During Louis the Child’s set though, it began POURING rain. It looked so cool, but it was NOT fun being stuck in the rain.
Once the rain stopped, Jake and I left the festival since we both had to work the next day. About 5 minutes after we left, the festival was evacuated due to a large storm threat. Luckily, we were already on our way back to the Upper East Side so we missed the crazy evacuation! However we did get stuck in the crazy storm when walking the last few blocks to our apartments. It’s been 2 days and my Minnetonka booties are STILL in the process of drying from that night!
Sunday’s outfit details:

Overall, this weekend was SO much fun. Jake and I got to listen to some amazing artists and I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity with Honda!
The Honda Stage was AMAZING. The artists there were incredible and the stage itself looked so cool. I can’t thank them enough for everything. If you ever get the chance to go to Governor’s Ball and experience it for yourself, you absolutely need to.
